The procession assembled in Curnow Street at 10 am, and marched around Centenary Park to the Cenotaph.

The parade was led by the 7th Signal Regiment from Borneo Barracks. Local veterans followed the Flag Party. Youth were represented by the Boys Brigade, the Girls Brigade, the Crows Nest Sate School and the Scouts.

The Anzac memorial is located in Centenary Park Crows Nest, directly opposite the Community and RSL Centre.

The Cenotaph was erected 96 years ago, and had been painted over. When it was cleaned up for the centenary year of the original Anzac Cove landing, it was astonishing to find that it was made of Italian marble. The sandstone Memorial Plinth was completely replaced, and the base has been restored with a piece of granite from the Crows Nest quarry.
